INFORMASI PENTING

Specifically for critical illness risks, the insurer is not obligated to pay the insurance benefit if the insured suffers from a critical illness due to one or more of the following conditions:

  1. Critical Illness occurs during the Waiting Period;
  2. Caused by a Pre-existing Condition, unless otherwise specified by the Insurer in the Policy; or
  3. Caused by the following:
    • Attempted suicide or self-harm, whether sane or insane, carried out by the insured and/or by others at the direction of those with an interest in the Insurance; 
    • War, state of war, or war emergencies, whether declared or not; 
    • Engaging in or actively participating in demonstrations, strikes, riots, civil commotion, rebellion, coup d'état, or illegal activities; 
    • As a passenger or crew member of an aircraft other than scheduled and licensed commercial flights; 
    • Abuse and/or any activities related to the use of alcohol, narcotics, drugs, prohibited substances, toxins, gases, any type of waste, nuclear radiation, and similar substances, whether intentionally or accidentally related to the insured's occupational or professional risks;
    • Engaging in dangerous activities on land, in the air, or underwater, such as parachuting, diving, hang gliding, car racing, motorboat racing, motorcycle racing, bungee jumping, white-water rafting, contact sports, rock climbing, caving, boxing, or any other risky sports/activities; 
    • Congenital abnormalities;
    • Mental disorders, intellectual disabilities, neuroses other than Critical Illnesses covered and listed in the Critical Illness List, psychosomatic or psychotic disorders; or 
    • The presence of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the insured, unless AIDS or HIV is covered and listed in the Critical Illness List.

Specifically for death risks, the insurer will not pay the insurance benefit due to one or more of the following conditions:

  1. Suicide, whether sane or insane, carried out by the insured and/or by others at the direction of those with an interest in the Policy if the action occurs within 1 (one) year from the Policy Issuance Date or the date of Policy Change or the Policy Restoration Date, whichever is later; or 
  2. War, including but not limited to invasion, rebellion, revolution, resistance against the government, military takeover, participation in civil commotion, strikes, and civil unrest; or 
  3. Deliberately committing illegal acts or criminal offenses, terrorism, or attempts at criminal acts, whether active or passive, by the Policyholder, Insured, or Beneficiary; or 
  4. Death penalty based on a judicial ruling.
